 Hormones' Influence on Mental Health

Understanding hormones is key to understanding our mental health because they shape how we feel, think, and respond to the world around us. Throughout our lives, natural hormonal shifts like those during pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause can trigger or intensify anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm. 

 

For perimenopausal shifts, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be a powerful tool to restore balance and improve one's quality of life. Similarly, for individuals undergoing gender-affirming hormone therapy (G-AHT), hormones can bring on tremendous psychological relief.

 

Although Pure Potential does not offer hormone therapy at this time, we honor the complexity of hormonal health, by providing integrative care that can support the changes that hormones create in our bodies and our minds. Whether you're preparing for a baby, navigating menopause, or affirming your gender identity, hormones are integral to your story.
